Here it is, April already – Can you believe it?!
This week, we launched my “You Are A Badass!” fitness challenge group, and one of the most frequently asked questions we hear from clients is, “What are some good snack ideas?”
Most of my clients tell me that they do well with meal prepping and planning meals because that part is easy — have a Shakeology for breakfast, a lean protein with some veggies & complex carbs for lunch and for dinner, throw a piece of fruit here and there in between… But what ELSE?
Most of us simply don’t get enough fruits & veggies, so when we embark on a real-food no-nonsense nutrition plan such as 21 Day Fix, it seems overwhelming to eat ALL the food we need.
So, how DO we get all of the food we need, without eating huge piles of salad and chowing a bushel of apples?
To help answer that question, I’ve put together a list of some excellent healthy snack recipes that I’ve tried and enjoyed, from some blogs that I love!
Ready?? 🙂 Here they are:

Please try some of these – or all of them 😉 – and let me know how you like them! You can Tweet me @nataliepalombi or post on my Facebook wall!
OMG – thank you so much for the link to the quinoa crackers. Now I’m going to make these this week. Thank you!!!
I just got done telling Christie on her blog that Im a nightime nibbler of foods I like but are not good choices. I asked for any suggestions & opened your blog. I am not a baker & much as many sound good, I wont yake the time to prepare them EXCEPT for the zucchini chips. That recipe is for me & will satisfy all of my cravings while finally relaxing in front of the tv. Pinned for reference. Thank you.
Snacks are one of my biggest downfalls! I had a nutritionist suggest a piece of fruit with some almonds as an afternoon snack, and that works well…but not every day for the rest of your life! 😉 I’m fairly picky about my food since I try to avoid gluten, but you’ve definitely provided a diverse array of choices. Can’t wait to try a few, thanks!
Wow.. these actually look good.. well some of them.. always looking for healthier snacks.. who isn’t right? Sure I could have a 100 cal pack.. but usually they are empty and we are wanting another in no time.. so these look great. thanks
When you put it like that, it sounds so easy! I am a massive houmous fan, which also helps.
I’m so pleased to see some healthy meals that aren’t nut based! I have a terrible allergy to several and I miss a lot of snacks and healthy eating because of it! Great list!
This is a great list, Natalie! I will be trying many of theses recipes! Melanie, I so agree with you as my daughter has a severe nut allergy also, so I do not keep any nut products in the house. The peanut butter balls will work well with soy butter I’m sure, although I’ll try agave instead of honey as honey always bothers my stomach.
Mmm…sounds yummy all…the banana muffins would be good…:-)
